A UNESCO world heritage site, Everglades National Park is one
of the prettiest spots in Florida as well as being a protected
area where many animal and plant species flourish.
The northern part of the park is home to the Shark Valley Visitor
Center. A wonderful trail extends for many kilometers to the Shark
River slough which connects Lake Okeechobee to the southern coast
of Florida.
Shark Valley is surrounded by meadows in all directions inhabited
by countless birds and alligators who occasionally approach visitors.
The National Park can also be visited by guided tour on Airboats.
