Little Havana (Spanish: La Pequeña Habana) is a Miami
neighborhood with many Cuban immigrants. Little Havana is known
as an active center of Miami’s cultural and political life.
Its festivals and events such as Carnival Miami, Cultural Fridays
and the Three Kings Parade are even broadcast on television and
seen by millions of spectators.
Little Havana is famous for its characteristic and picturesque
appearance, and is best witnessed in the famous Calle Ocho, Walkway
of the Stars, Cuban Memorial Boulevard, Plaza de la Cubanidad,
Domino Park, Tower Theater, Jose Marti Park and others. It is
undoubtedly the best-known neighborhood of Cuban exiles in the
world.
Calle Ocho hosts the annual Cuban Festival, it starts with the
Carnival Miami celebrations, one of the most important carnivals
in the world. The Cuban Festival is a street fair – free
and open to all.
