The Miami Art Museum (MAM) is situated Downtown on Flagler Street.
The Museum is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. MAM currently
acts as an art center for the various cultures which overlap in
Miami and embraces all of the ethnical heritages they propose.
MAM recently received a significant number of artworks from famous
patrons and collectors in honor of the Museum’s anniversary.
The following artists are represented in the museum’s permanent
collection: Carlos Alfonzo, José Bedia, Chuck Close, Joseph
Cornell, Marcel Duchamp, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Ann Hamilton,
Guillermo Kuitca, Wilfredo Lam, Sol LeWitt, Doug Aitken, Robert
Rauschenberg, and Lorna Simpson.
