The Keys are one of the most famous sights
of Florida. Crossing 42 bridges and 32 keys to reach the southernmost
point of the United States. The main keys are Key Largo, Islamorada,
Marathon, Big Pine and finally Key West, where it almost seems
possible to touch Cuba.
Itinerary: The road which
bridge after bridge connects the 32 keys is called the “overseas
highway” and is considered the most beautiful in the world
due to its view. From the highway it is possible to see the blue
of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the turquoise water of the
Gulf of Mexico on the other.
This is home to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef
State Park with its 55 varieties of rare coral and different tropical
fish species, it was declared an Underwater Park in 1963 to protect
and preserve the only coral reef existing in the continental United
States.
During the 3 ½ hour trip, there are
various stops to be able to see this wonderful landscape and take
unforgettable photos from the best viewpoints. You’ll feel
surrounded by a completely Caribbean atmosphere in Key West.
This key was first a refuge for pirates and
then became home to famous writers and artists.
A tour is included which entails the main sights
of the island such as the homes of Hemingway and Harry Truman,
and famous Duval Street where you can shop, have lunch in one
of the many good restaurants or just wander around the streets
of this town.
